Oradea Freemasonry Temple (Templul Francmasoneriei din Oradea) is one of the most interesting places I’ve ever been and my first contact ever with freemasonry. It was built in 1901 and served from the beginning as a masonic temple. I am not at all into secret & mystical societies, but the experience of visiting it would reveal a highly symbolic society and equally intellectual people; most of the books on sale at the entrance were very interesting and authors like Alan Watts or Carl Jung are my all-time favorites. Below I show you a couple of images from my recent visit, which has left me speechless…
The office of a master mason, probably. One needs a mirror and be able to see oneself in it…
I like stylish furniture. Everything is in black & blue color tones…
Top hats are so cool… They belong to a different time and a different world…
The entrance in the main hall. There are no windows.
The view of the ceiling painted with stars…
Three columns in the center… Symbolism…
Horoscope/zodiac signs on the walls…
The room is very dark, all photos had to have their brightness increased so that the details can be distinguishable.
The general view of the hall. A truly strange place.
