The Limpedea Columns, known as Coloanele de la Limpedea in Romanian, are the remains of a lava dome from an ancient volcano. The columns are made of andesite & dacite rocks and are declared a geological natural monument, being both a nature reserve and a protected area. They are found inside the Baia Mare municipality perimeter, in the Ferneziu area, have about 15 meters in height and cover about 3 hectares. Here are some images.
