Alkekengi officinarum – Lantern Berry – Lampionblume – Lampionvirág – Lanterne – Păpălău

This is the fruit of the plant, typically found at the end of winter. Alkekengi was previously included in the genus Physalis (Physalis alkekengi), but molecular and genetic evidence placed it as the type species of a new genus. Therefore, the Physalis I photographed back in 2018 was actually an Alkekengi.
