Nobody asked, but I’m well… we are… Been at the scene after a couple of days, when the police left but the emotion was still felt in the air. The truth is that destiny can strike at any moment, especially in a highly diverse and hostile environment, where the pressure can erupt uncontrolled. People can go crazy. But then, there is – or should be – highly visible and effective law reinforcement units. Are they going to scare tourists? Were the policemen (not) fast enough to catch the guy? Are there too many migrants? Is this going to happen tomorrow again? These are questions crossing everyone’s mind…
The nature is beautiful in the Upper Savoy… the Annecy Lake attracts a lot of people…
Close to the lake there is a huge green field…
In one corner there is a children playground…
And there it happened…
People gathered and left flowers and toys. Nobody has died so far, but there is always a attitude of defiance in the French… and a bit of a shock also, I suppose…
Beautiful places have their risks nowadays…
It was and still is a time of meditation…
Well said. I thought of you when I saw the terrible news.
God bless.
